
Avolio's has been in business since 1979, when Pietro & Juanita Avolio began their dream of opening an Italian restaurant in the San Gabriel Valley. Having grown up in the small town of Pacentro in the region of Abruzzo, Italy, Pietro learned many recipes from watching his mom and sisters cook in the kitchen. Over the years, the restaurant has flourished and the menu has expanded, but the original sauce and dough recipes have remained the same. Avolio's prides itself in cooking with fresh and quality ingredients and making all of their sauces homemade, as well as their pizza dough. Their daughter Darlene now continues the family legacy of serving some of the best Italian food in the San Gabriel Valley. Today, you'll find Jennifer, their other daughter, working the lunch shifts, as well as many of the grandkids working in the family business. At Avolio's, everyone is like family.
